Book Donations

Book donations received a week or two prior to the Book Sale will not be processed for that Book Sale. Due to limited storage space, please hold off bringing in your large donations, if possible, until two weeks after the Book Sale. If you just have a bag or two, we can take them anytime. Thank you!

Book donations can be brought to the Library when it is open. For large quantities, pick up service may be arranged. Please call the Library (413-323-0417, extension 2) with any questions.

We are currently accepting donations from:

• Estate Sales
• Tag Sales
• Moving
• Spring Cleaning
• Other Libraries
• School/Office Closings

AND we take more than just books:

• DVDs
• VHS Tapes
  
• Books on Tape
• Music CDs
• Comic Books
• Hobby Magazines
• Postcards
• Ephemera

We can provide a tax donation form, upon request.

At this time, we will no longer accept donations of the following items:

• Records (LPs and 45s);
• Cassette Audio Tapes (except books-on-tape);
• Video Tapes *that do not have original covers*;
• Encyclopedias *over 5 years old*;
• Reader's Digest Condensed Books;
• News Magazines, including National Geographic.

If you have these items to donate, please consider other non-profit organizations, recycling or Freecycling (www.freecycle.org).

Monetary Donations

Remember that all donations are tax-deductible. The Friends of Clapp Memorial Library is a 501c(3) organization.
